Welcome to Trending Tuesday at Studio 4 PR! Every Tuesday, I’ll feature a post around what everyone’s talking about. Most of the time, they’ll be relevant to finding and being found by your ideal client, but my main goal is to make them meaningful.
If you have a story to share about an entrepreneur, or something that affects small businesses, please send it to email@example.com with the day it’s intended for in the subject line. I won’t post anything that’s offensive, small-minded, mean-spirited, or negative, so please be nice. Just sayin’.
The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus launched with much fanfare selling more than 10 million units during its opening weekend, besting the nine million iPhone 5c’s and 5s’ Apple sold in 2013.
As with other Apple launches, “hunting for the first flaw has become a tired part of the product launch” according to a report in USA Today.
In the days since its launch, the following issues have been reported:
- the phones bend
- the iOS 8.0.1 update was causing some users to lose cellular service and access to the Touch ID fingerprint scanner
- fake ad surfaced claiming that you could recharge the iPhone 6 by placing it in the microwave
Users who fell for the scam learned quickly that the phone does not recharge. It blows up. Those with bended phones, mostly men, are putting the thin, aluminum phones in their front pockets. Depending on how tight their pants are, the phones are bending. Apple has already issued an update that fixes the problems with iOS.
