About

Thank you for stopping by!

My name is Robin Taney (aka the “Get R.E.A.L Girl) and I am the owner and founder of Studio 4 PR, a provider of public relations services for creative, independent, and what I call “kitchen table” entrepreneurs (a fancy name for people who work from home).

My career path is like a patchwork quilt—squares in different patterns that when sewn together somehow work. I’ve been in broadcast news, corporate, non profit, event planning, internet marketing, and the tourism and hospitality industries. I’ve written, promoted, planned, and implemented. I’ve worked with community leaders, heads of corporations, small businesses, students, and entrepreneurs.

While leading workshops for small business owners, I discovered that many entrepreneurs have no idea how public relations can add value to their business. They think it’s about making the front page or 11 pm news and they don’t think they have anything newsworthy to share.

Nothing could be further from the truth!

Here’s MY definition of PR: Creating compelling conversations that help you connect with the people who are most important to you and your business.

You do not need to have a story that’s newsworthy in order to get press AND you don’t need to be friends with a reporter in order to reach your target customers.

You just need to Get R.E.A.L.

In other words, you need to develop a realistic, engaging, authentic, and long lasting mindset.

I’m the “Get R.E.A.L Girl” because I’ll cut through the bull@#$% and tell you what you need to do in order to get noticed.

Are you with me?

Let’s Get R.E.A.L.!
